Saoirse very friendly, helpful and managed the breakfast time very well. Night staff in bar also excellent and friendly. Staff at this hotel are a real bonus. Decor in bar/restaurant is lovely with kind of boho retro vibe. Hotel rooms are quite small. bed linen, duvet and pillows are a dream. bathroom a bit of a let down - no bath, fixture hanging off wall and I wouldn't be a fan of the opaque door that you couldn't actually close and didn't afford any privacy. Tea tray needs a bit of attention- very poor selection of tea/coffee etc, no biscuits and those awful jiggers of UHT milk. . it was a lovely touch to have prosecco and little chocs in the room - a lovely welcome. - BEALTAI 2/16/2023Salute to CAORA AND MICHAEL. Every Hotel depends on Systems for best performance. But it is the Individuals within the systems that ultimately decide the fate of any enterprise. Ask the owners of the Titanic for example!
In this regard the Victoria Hotel on Queen Street Galway is blessed with the two most outstanding Receptionists I have ever encountered in my Hotel experiences from. A to Z worldwide. CAORA is a model of Patience, Friendship, and general Nice Person aura, while Patrick has the same qualities along with Stand Up Comedy !

The staff in the hotel are really friendly and we had no issues at all during our stay. Our room was spotless and the only thing I’d change is the chance to cool it down with air conditioning as it was a little hot at night even with the window open. The hotel is perfectly located just off Eyre Square. It’s not noisy at night considering how close it is to the square. We dined 1 of the evenings in the bar and the food was fantastic. It was a nice atmosphere in the bar with all staff adhering to Covid guidelines etc. It was table service only for drinks but the staff were very efficient and we didn’t go without once Breakfast was a very nice on both mornings.
