- Ian Mills 4/04/2017Great Location just off of Eyre Squareread moreread lessFamily_Traveler2_IN 10/23/2021Great Value and Location A very comfortable hotel in a great location, right around the corner from Eyre Square. Easy access to downtown pubs and restaurants.
In addition, hotel offers a great breakfast that was included with our booking. You get the choice of one hot AND one cold breakfast meal option from the menu. You won’t go away hungry.
They also validated parking so that we were able to park our car for free at the QPark just a block away.
Staff at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. They provided us with suggestions for places to go. Also, gladly printed out our covid test results that we needed for airport check-in.

The hotel's location is excellent, just minutes from Eyre Square and the main shopping district and restaurants. You can walk everywhere. The decor is elegant and attractive. We had lunch on arrival in the Bar and the food was very nice, as were the staff during our entire visit, so friendly and accommodating. Rooms were warm and cosy, bedding very comfortable and perfect for what we needed. We would all go back again for another visit as we had a fantastic weekend in every way.read moreread less

Special mention to Dervla O’C for sharing a vast amount of recommendations of places to visit and her absolutely fantastic personality and fun, also to Max for singing to us whilst serving our drinks and to the beautiful, gentle and kind Roseanna who speaks such great English as her second language. Location is just off Eyre Square and most city attractions are within walking distance. Parking is available at nearby car park which may be complementary depending on what deal you made on your booking. The hotel may be a bit more expensive than some rivals but we feel it was worth it.
The hotel appeared to be very well maintained and plenty of Covid precautions available, although it was a pity that the hand gel dispenser at the main door did not work at any time over the 3 days. First impressions!!.
Staff were excellent and most courteous, from the housekeeping lady that allowed me jump the Que for the lift when I was bringing in the luggage to the reception staff that sorted out my parking.
The room was spotlessly clean and very well presented, although we both got a bit of a stale air smell when we entered the room as if it had not been opened up for a few days. Maybe good in these Covid times but again First Impressions.
The room was serviced each day with fresh towels and a general clean up.
Breakfast was table service and excellent both in variety and quality as well as quantity. They must have very good kitchen staff because we ate in the hotel for lunch one day and each night also and the fare was excellent. Same menu each night but there was enough for us to sample a variety of dishes.
So overall a big thumbs up to the establishment and if we were visiting the City of Tribes again, we would have no hesitation in staying here again.read moreread lessMary H 7/11/2022You let us down badly The hotel needs some serious updating. I requested gluten free breakfast for my husband and despite sending me messages that “we have great gluten free options for you” we were told they had no gluten free bread to make toast!! Such a simple and basic thing to provide. When we checked in the receptionist told us they had taken note that 1 guest needed a gluten free breakfast so why did the fail to provide? The room was very small and the lift had me saying prayers when we used it as it very clunky. We were served by Sara the beautiful Spanish girl who was so attentive. I have to say we tried almost every cocktail between us and everyone was more delicious then the last. We had finger food which again was delicious the wings were to die for. On all an amazing experience the nicest staff I have come across in a long long time a credit to this chic establishment.
