Queen Street Bar & Restaurant

Queen Street Bar & Restaurant is an award-winning gastrobar recognised as an OpenTable Top 10 Diners’ Choice Winner in Connacht. Described by the Galway Advertiser as a “hidden gem”, Queen Street brings together locally sourced Irish cuisine with a dynamic, contemporary twist.

Breakfast

A freshly prepared Full Irish with locally sourced ingredients, served daily — 7:30am to 10:00am weekdays, 8:00am to 11:00am at weekends.

Brunch & Lunch

Our brunch menu is available 12:30pm to 3:30pm, Monday to Saturday. Eggs Benedict, seasonal specials, and quick lunches in a buzzing split-level gastrobar setting.

Dinner

À la carte from 4:00pm daily — Galway Bay fish and chips, Angus beef burger, and our Queen Street Special pizza. Sundays: dedicated Sunday menu served 1:00pm to 7:45pm.

Bar & Cocktails

Curated cocktails, craft beers, and premium spirits. Open until 10pm Sunday–Thursday, 11pm Friday–Saturday. Outdoor dining available. Our dedicated coffee team serves barista-made coffees and homemade cakes throughout the day.

Getting Here

By Train: Galway’s Ceannt Station is a 2-minute walk. Direct services from Dublin Heuston take approximately 2 hours 40 minutes.

By Bus: Galway Bus Station is adjacent to the train station, also a 2-minute walk. Bus Éireann and Citylink services connect Galway to Dublin, Shannon, Limerick, Cork, and all major Irish cities.

By Car: Galway is approximately 2 hours 15 minutes from Dublin via the M6, and about 1 hour 30 minutes from Shannon Airport.

Parking

Victoria Hotel does not have on-site parking. We have arranged a discounted rate at Q-Park Merchants Road — a secure car park just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. The rate is €18 per 24 hours. Ask at reception for the hotel discount code.

Festivals & Day Trips

Galway hosts world-class events throughout the year: the Galway International Arts Festival (July), the Galway Races (late July/August), the Galway International Oyster and Seafood Festival (September), and the Galway Christmas Market at Eyre Square — literally on our doorstep. The Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, and Connemara are all accessible as day trips from the bus station next door.

Victoria Hotel does not have on-site parking. However, we offer a discounted rate at Q-Park Merchants Road car park, which is a 2-minute walk from the hotel. The rate is €18 per 24 hours. Breakfast availability depends on the rate you book. Our Bed & Breakfast rates include a freshly prepared breakfast each morning at Queen Street Bar & Restaurant, with Full Irish and continental options. Room-only rates do not include breakfast, but you can add it at check-in. Breakfast is served 7:30am–10:00am weekdays and 8:00am–11:00am at weekends.

Check-in is from 3:00pm and check-out is by 12:00 noon. If you arrive early, we are happy to store your luggage securely while you explore Galway. Late check-out may be available on request, subject to availability.
