Galway Aboo Halloween Festival (26th-29th October 2018)
The Galway Aboo Halloween Festival is the country's largest Halloween festival and hosts a massive range of activities for all of the family to enjoy. This event is a superb festival that is suitable for all ages.
Macnas Halloween Parade (28th of October)
The Macnas Halloween Parade celebrates it's 32nd anniversary this year and will host a parade around 5;30pm on the 28th of October. This years parade is called 'Port na Bpucai' which means 'The Song of the Spirits'. The performers in the parade will be wearing bespoke costumes while putting on a magnificent show with amazing giants and characters as well as original music. Spectators are also encouraged to dress up.
Carnevil is known as one of West of Ireland's first scare attractions and will be located in the McGettigans Pub on Eyre Square. The opening hours are 4pm-11pm up until Halloween but will remain open until midnight on Halloween night.
Fearfest is Galway's only scream park and is located at Loughwell Farm Park in Moycullen, Co. Galway.
The Salthill Zombie Chase is taking place on the 27th of October at the Galway Business School in Salthill where a crowd of terrifying zombies will be released and they will attempt to capture humans so to prevtent them from reaching the safety zone. This event is in aid of The National Support and Awareness Charity ACT for Meningitis.
