Perfect localization: shopping street, pubs, restaurants, seaside in walking distance. Highly recommendedread moreread less465rudolphs 9/18/2022Very convenient and comfy We had a nice , comfortable room for two. The beds were great, loved the nice sheets and duvets. The bedside reading lights didn’t work though. The bathroom could use a toilet roll holder beside the toilet.
Breakfast was included with our rate and we really enjoyed the quality of food served.

Would have been nice to have in room refrigerators and better access to ice. While not the fault of the hotel, a nearby business's alarms were beeping constantly throughout our stay and was extremely annoying. However, the hotel accommodated for this by providing a fan which provided some white noise so it wasn't bad sleeping. Myself and my friend attended the Victoria Hotel restaurant for lunch yesterday and we were *extremely* impressed. The professionalism and courtesy of the two ladies at the main hotel reception was to set the tone to follow. The cleanliness and layout if the entire foyer and restaurant and bar area was the highest standard. In particular, I was impressed by the Art Deco design of the bar area which I understand had been redesigned recently. A 1920s feel created a unique ambience. Wall designs of tropical plants and verdant growth is a cozy and interesting design feature which we discussed at length. As for the lunch itself, I was very impressed with the Cod and I had a side of Sautéed Onions. As onions are my favourite food, I was eager to taste this and I was not disappointed. They were softly done and not over cooked. My friend had the Gnocchi which was equally excellent. The manager was very professional and helpful and every place should be run like this!read moreread lessPipermans 4/20/2022OK hotel with a great location. OK, this was a nice enough hotel with an excellent location.
The only strange thing that i'd never experienced before was at the breakfast.
When we asked for coffee - we both drink coffee, 99% of the time we would get a pot of coffee brought to the table. Here at this hotel, we were given a cup of boiling water each, with 2 sachets of instant dried coffee. This is the little coffee packet you would find next to your kettle in the room.
To get a proper cup, we were told we needed to pay 3 euro per cup. I've never experienced this before, otherwise its a nice hotel.read moreread less - Orla R 2/19/2023Great staff lovely hotel with literally the best staff and nice bar with smoking area. in walking distance to all of galway with loads of shops and bars but view from room window wasnt great but overall would definitely recommend Moreread moreread lessDowdGalway 1/23/2023Perfect Fabulous stay so central to everything but in a nice quiet corner lovely rooms and perfect breakfast what more could you want will be going back again this time with the kids as it suits all ages 100% perfect Moreread moreread lessCarol S 7/31/2022weekend away The Hotel was lovely. Staff we're excellent and very friendly and helpful. It had a great bar, lovely menu good value food and a complimentary cocktail on arrival at the hotel. Only thing about the hotel was that there was no Car Park and you'd to pay for the Parking which was a bit Irish and the rooms where small. Other than that I couldn't fault ot. Moreread moreread less

But it is the Individuals within the systems that ultimately decide the fate of any enterprise. Ask the owners of the Titanic for example!
In this regard the Victoria Hotel on Queen Street Galway is blessed with the two most outstanding Receptionists I have ever encountered in my Hotel experiences from. A to Z worldwide. CAORA is a model of Patience, Friendship, and general Nice Person aura, while Patrick has the same qualities along with Stand Up Comedy !

It was well located within a 15 minute walk to any of the areas within the downtown area. Less to many restaurants in the area.
It was however located on a very busy street - our rooms 106 and 103 were facing the road and extremely noisy - we were moved to an inside room 210 and it was much better so keep that in mind.
The staff onsite were all very pleasant and the morning breakfast was good. There were some continental items and then hot items made to order.
The room was an adequate size. Bathroom had nice fixtures. However the room had no drawer space - not sure why.
